Senior Accountant

Location: Hybrid position in Cypress, California

Salary: $95,000 – $105,000

What you will do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and generate reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare audit schedules and consolidated financial statements to facilitate external audit engagements.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and perform variance analysis for the management team.
• Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.
• Provide technical advice on complex accounting issues and assist management in interpreting financial data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3-5 years in a senior role.
• Strong understanding and experience with GAAP regulations and bookkeeping principles.
• Proven experience with financial reporting and general ledger functions in a global company.
• Must be based in or able to work in Cypress, California for the hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Public accounting experience.
• High proficiency in ERP software, preferably JDE or Oracle.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and thorough knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Strong organizational planning and problem-solving skills.
