TL;DR
Membership Growth & Operations Contractor (Media): Managing conversion pathways and operational infrastructure for the AfroTech Insider membership program with an accent on funnel optimization and data attribution. Location: Fully remote, must be based in the U.S. and work 100% in alignment with Pacific Time Zone.
Compensation: $45 per hour (approx. $2,700–$2,925 per month for 15 hours/week).

What you will do
- Build and manage conversion pathways to move audiences from free programming into paid annual memberships.
- Implement and maintain UTM tracking and attribution setup across all registration links and touchpoints.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards tracking enrollment, churn, event engagement, and funnel conversion.
- Coordinate corporate membership partnership deals, onboarding kits, and renewal activity.
- Manage project timelines for membership technology and platform builds in coordination with the product team.
- Track event attendance and maintain speaker pipelines for recurring programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5+ years experience managing membership programs or subscription businesses with direct ownership of operations.
- Proven experience building conversion funnels, implementing UTM tracking, and coordinating email nurture campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills to independently pull and present conversion data to senior leadership.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to work 100% in alignment to Pacific Time Zone.
Nice to have
- Experience in media, events, or tech-adjacent industries with a membership component.
- Background in attribution modeling, funnel analytics, or building reporting infrastructure from scratch.
- Familiarity with CRM and membership management platforms.
