Networking Proof of Concept Consultant (Campus & Branch Networking): Designing, building, and running Proof of Concept engagements to validate enterprise-grade campus, branch, and edge networking solutions with an accent on wired, wireless, and SD-Branch scenarios. Focus on architecting test topologies, optimizing technical solutions to beat competition, and delivering actionable reporting to C-level executives.

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week from an HPE office). Must be based in the USA.

Salary: $120,000 - $243,000

What you will do

• Execute complex Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements to validate networking solutions across campus, branch, and edge use cases.
• Translate customer business outcomes into technical requirements and quantitative success metrics.
• Design and create detailed, scenario-driven test plans covering wired, wireless, security, and management platforms.
• Collaborate with PLM, R&D, and QA teams to refine test plans and optimize technical solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert to C-level executives, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor and enable presales peers through structured knowledge transfer and education programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Deep expertise in LAN/WLAN protocols, including switching, routing (OSPF, BGP, VXLAN), and security (802.1X, NAC).
• Recognized expertise in wireless technologies, specifically Wi-Fi 6E/Wi-Fi 7 and 802.11ax/be standards.
• Ability and willingness to accommodate minimum 50% travel within the AMS region.
• Outstanding communication skills for delivering complex technical presentations to executive audiences.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, CWNP, JNCIP) are highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with HPE Networking (Aruba) or Juniper technologies.
• Proficiency in network automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to network operations and AIOps platforms.
