What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical hardware issues during assembly, integration, and final test.
• Lead root-cause investigations using structured methods like DFMEA, Fishbone diagrams, and 8D to implement permanent fixes.
• Develop and maintain assembly instructions, work instructions, and training materials for technicians.
• Execute engineering changes, deviations, and rework directives while coordinating with planning and shop floor teams.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure factory and field issues result in permanent design changes.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturability, build repeatability, and product quality to reduce costs and cycle time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, sustaining, or hardware support engineering.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical hardware directly on the production floor.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, 3D models, and GD&T.
• Experience with structured problem-solving (DFMEA, 8D, Fishbone).

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment.
• Knowledge of vacuum environments, gas delivery, thermal management, or motion systems.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for managing engineering changes and material data.
• Experience supporting suppliers or contract manufacturing partners on quality issues.
