What you will do

• Design and implement tools and processes for the assembly of lithium-ion and lithium-metal batteries.
• Develop process parameters for operations including heat sealing, laser welding, laser cutting, ultrasonic welding, and battery winding.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead changes to enhance product quality.
• Train technicians in assembly techniques and perform equipment setup and minor repairs.
• Develop comprehensive work instructions, process controls, and work area layouts.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers regarding product line issues.

Requirements

• B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in tool design, with SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with machining equipment operation and laser welding.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools.
• Must be able to work on-site in Sparks, MD.
