TL;DR

Senior Designer (Brand Design): Shaping and scaling Snapchat's visual identity across key marketing and brand touchpoints with an accent on brand systems, art direction, and high-impact visuals. Focus on evolving the brand design system, leading end-to-end high-priority campaigns, and mentoring junior designers.

Location: Must work in an office 4+ days per week in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Seattle

Salary: $133,000–$235,000 annually (depending on location zone)

What you will do

  • Evolve and maintain Snapchat's brand design system, including typography, color, layout, and component libraries.
  • Lead art direction for high-priority projects such as B2B narratives, vertical GTMs, and tentpole events.
  • Translate strategic briefs into visual concepts and present recommendations with clear rationale to senior stakeholders.
  • Design and scale reusable toolkits, including presentation systems, iconography, and illustration styles.
  • Mentor junior designers to up-level their craft, systems thinking, and presentation skills.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in brand, communication, or visual design, ideally with global consumer or tech brands.
  • Portfolio demonstrating brand identity and systems work across multi-channel applications (web, OOH, events, social).
  • Expertise in layout, typography, hierarchy, and information design for narrative-heavy work.
  • Fluency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and integrating AI into design workflows.
  • Must be based in or be able to work from one of the specified US offices 4+ days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with challenger brands or brands with strong distinctive visual equities.
  • Experience designing for B2B narratives or thought leadership.
  • Familiarity with motion design or motion systems.
  • Experience collaborating with environmental or experiential design teams.
