What you will do

• Define and own the product engineering roadmap across all silicon programs, from tapeout planning to high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop ATE strategies and lead NPI decisions, including build-vs-buy and OSAT selection.
• Oversee the Bristol validation lab operations, budgets, and scalability to support concurrent chip programs.
• Manage strategic relationships and commercial negotiations with foundries, ATE vendors, and OSAT partners.
• Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team of test and validation engineers.
• Translate executive strategy into clear technical direction and provide reporting to the executive team and board.

Requirements

• Technical background in package, product, assembly, test, and qualification within startup or high-growth environments.
• Deep expertise in ATE platforms and test program development for early silicon and volume manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of reliability physics and SoC qualification for automotive and datacenter markets.
• Proven track record of running technical departments at the director level, including budget and headcount ownership.
• Experience managing external semiconductor partners and conducting commercial negotiations.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity from the Bristol (UK) office.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive (AEC-Q100) or datacenter qualification standards.
• Prior experience in an AI hardware or high-growth deep-tech startup.
