TL;DR

Location: Hybrid: 2+ days/week in San Francisco office

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain powerful backend services to enable the data presentation layer.
  • Drive product expansion through horizontal integration growth and greenfield development in new product verticals.
  • Develop and test integrations to ensure security, scalability, and high performance at scale.
  • Deploy code daily and contribute to large-scale initiatives spanning across multiple teams.
  • Debug complex issues across the stack using modern observability tooling.
  • Write scalable and maintainable code aligned with strategic roadmap priorities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant backend development experience in a start-up environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects characterized by high ambiguity.
  • Proficiency with NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
  • Strong understanding of system design and experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience with Git and API authentication/authorization methods, particularly OAuth.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Francisco.

Nice to have

  • Experience using AWS or other cloud providers.
  • Experience with distributed messaging systems.
  • Strong knowledge of testing best practices and TDD.
