Production Accountant (Animation)

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

What you will do

• Process cast and crew payroll, accounts payable, and all production-related payments.
• Execute weekly accounts payable, set up vendors, and finalize all necessary paperwork.
• Prepare cash flow forecasting, funding requests, and funding reconciliations.
• Manage monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Aid in production audits and provide monthly cost reporting to the production team in Paris, France.
• Support residual and guild reporting after film completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of related production accounting experience required.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion.
• Must be able to work on-site in Santa Monica, CA.

Nice to have

• IATSE Local 839 and Local 700 experience.
• Experience with industry-specific accounting programs such as Smart Accounting.
