What you will do

• Identify and solve inefficiencies in tooling, APIs, and feedback mechanisms to improve developer productivity.
• Design and implement solutions iteratively, utilizing AI tools for large-scale code migrations.
• Develop and maintain services, abstractions, and architecture to support product engineering.
• Advance the use of Kafka and Sidekiq for asynchronous processing and communication.
• Harden async infrastructure for resilience under heavy loads using LLMs to reduce incident resolution time.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to anticipate and address system changes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Deep expertise in Ruby and Rails, including developer tooling for large engineering teams.
• Experience with asynchronous processing using Sidekiq and/or Kafka.
• Proven track record of improving developer productivity through tooling and AI.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.
