Senior Quality Engineer (Mobile)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the mobile test strategy and pragmatic test pyramid for React Native.
• Build and maintain mobile E2E automation in Maestro, including test data, device configuration, helpers, reporting, and supporting infrastructure.
• Integrate test suites into GitHub Actions CI and improve feedback speed, reliability, parallelisation, and runtime control.
• Use AI tools for test authoring, failure clustering, coverage analysis, and workflow improvements while maintaining human review and trust.
• Partner with product and engineering on shift-left quality, clear acceptance criteria, exploratory testing, and production-risk prevention.
• Connect test coverage with customer impact using Datadog, Sentry, and Grafana.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in quality engineering or test automation, with a record of maintaining stable automated suites.
• Experience introducing AI-assisted testing practices, including test generation, failure clustering, or coverage analytics.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills for building test helpers, tooling, and debugging solutions.
• Experience improving CI/CD pipelines for test reliability using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Experience with mobile E2E automation, or strong E2E experience on another platform and a credible plan to become productive on mobile.
• Ability to operate independently and drive improvements across frameworks, CI, test data, and reporting.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Maestro or Detox.
• Experience testing React Native applications.
• Mobile performance and reliability experience, including crash reporting, startup time, memory, or battery awareness.
• API and contract testing experience, including test data and environment strategy.
