What you will do

• Architect complex systems and define the technical direction for a unified AI-first data platform.
• Lead and mentor senior engineering talent, promoting engineering excellence across dozens of teams.
• Translate technical strategy into business impact in collaboration with the SVP of Engineering and product leadership.
• Solve critical technical challenges in data orchestration and low-latency processing.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead company-wide innovation initiatives.
• Contribute directly to technical roadmaps and hands-on code for production-ready systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 10+ years of experience building highly scalable production systems.
• 6+ years as a trusted technical decision-maker solving for business value.
• Experience architecting and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency with SQL on large multi-table data sets and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong familiarity with server-side languages (Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go) and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven features and translating AI capabilities into performant products.
• Expertise with Kafka, Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Background in health-tech systems (e.g., Electronic Health Records, clinical data).
• Experience leading large teams (50+ engineers) through end-to-end delivery.
