What you will do
- Architect complex systems and define the technical direction for a unified AI-first data platform.
- Lead and mentor senior engineering talent, promoting engineering excellence across dozens of teams.
- Translate technical strategy into business impact in collaboration with the SVP of Engineering and product leadership.
- Solve critical technical challenges in data orchestration and low-latency processing.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead company-wide innovation initiatives.
- Contribute directly to technical roadmaps and hands-on code for production-ready systems.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- 10+ years of experience building highly scalable production systems.
- 6+ years as a trusted technical decision-maker solving for business value.
- Experience architecting and deploying large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency with SQL on large multi-table data sets and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong familiarity with server-side languages (Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, or Go) and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-driven features and translating AI capabilities into performant products.
- Expertise with Kafka, Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Background in health-tech systems (e.g., Electronic Health Records, clinical data).
- Experience leading large teams (50+ engineers) through end-to-end delivery.
