Senior Solutions Architect (AI)

Location: Remote - Nationwide within the United States; primary location Greenwood Village, Colorado. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $138,000-$200,100 per year.

What you will do

• Lead discovery with business and technology partners and document current-state systems, integration points, data flows, and target-state architectures.
• Design and modernize applications using cloud-compatible or cloud-native microservices, serverless, and event-driven patterns.
• Create cloud migration strategies, roadmaps, and designs for applications and data workloads.
• Design AI and ML solutions, including model integration, scalable inference, low-latency serving, data pipelines, feature and embedding generation, vector storage, and enterprise API integration.
• Design Generative AI patterns including retrieval-augmented generation, tool and API integration, prompt and context management, and evaluation approaches.
• Establish MLOps, AI operations, security-by-design, responsible AI, governance, testing, validation, and production-readiness practices while supporting stakeholder alignment and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in agile software delivery environments with increasing architecture and design responsibility.
• Experience designing distributed systems with microservices and/or serverless patterns.
• Experience designing and integrating AI and ML capabilities into applications, including model serving considerations and data dependencies.
• Experience with one or more of Java, Python, Node.js, or Scala.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data persistence technologies.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, plus core cloud design patterns.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including automated testing and deployment automation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into clear technical direction.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with GenAI and LLM solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, evaluation, and production monitoring.
• Experience with AI and ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, or Google Vertex AI.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Container and orchestration experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
• Experience with vector databases, search technologies, and indexing and retrieval patterns.
• Enterprise observability experience covering centralized logging, tracing, metrics, alerting, and operational readiness.
• Database and procedural development experience, including PL/SQL, and strong data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with responsible AI practices, governance controls, and AI-specific security considerations.
