What you will do

• Set technical direction for agentic financial audit experiences and make critical architectural decisions.
• Design and build agent-driven workflows, balancing AI autonomy with human judgment.
• Solve the most complex and ambiguous engineering problems to drive product bets to resolution.
• Partner with product and design teams to shape the roadmap and strategy.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and communication of hard problems.
• Contribute to the interview process to help scale the engineering team.

Requirements

• Seasoned full-stack engineer with a track record of driving complex projects to production.
• Experience setting technical direction at the team or organizational level.
• Proficiency in operating within ambiguous requirements where answers are not obvious.
• Active use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) as a core part of the development workflow.
• Must be based in the USA (San Francisco or Remote).
• Strong collaboration skills to influence product and design decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, audit, accounting, or compliance.
• Prior work building AI or agent-driven product experiences.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Background in high-growth startups.
• Experience with document processing or infrastructure work.
