Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: London, United Kingdom; must commute to London 2 days per week

Salary: 76,800–115,200 GBP per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain a Python-based SaaS tool for project, data, and annotation management.
• Build software used by Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists to develop new products.
• Work with data and platform engineers to handle increasing data volumes efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and validate features in an iterative, quality-driven environment.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in a relevant academic field and 2–3 years of professional experience.
• Experience delivering and maintaining production-quality code in an industry setting.
• Strong Python experience and knowledge of software engineering best practices.
• Experience with Git and production codebases.
• Awareness of CI/CD, Docker, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
• Willingness to commute to London 2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kanban or Scrum.
• Experience developing SaaS features using LLM agents.
• Knowledge of machine learning and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
