What you will do

• Define and own the enterprise-wide observability architecture, roadmaps, and technical standards.
• Standardize observability tooling including Prometheus, Grafana, Tempo, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
• Design scalable data pipelines and storage strategies for petabyte-scale telemetry data.
• Develop declarative infrastructure using Terraform and Helm for multi-cloud environments.
• Champion SLO/SLI frameworks and provide architectural guidance across engineering teams.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for critical incidents to accelerate diagnosis and resolution.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in Observability Architecture, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Expert-level proficiency in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) and Kubernetes.
• Mastery of the OpenTelemetry ecosystem and Prometheus-compatible metrics systems.
• Strong software engineering skills in Go or Python for cloud-native tooling.
• Excellent communication skills to influence technical direction across organizational boundaries.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
