What you will do

• Own the design, scalability, and reliability of build pipelines across multiple services and platforms.
• Optimize build times, test coverage, and reporting to ensure fast developer feedback cycles.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes for CI systems to minimize downtime.
• Lead initiatives to improve productivity through tooling, automation, and the evangelization of CI/CD practices.
• Drive the vision for continuous integration and developer productivity infrastructure.
• Mentor other CI engineers and partner with leadership to align systems with broader product goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering efforts in CI, build systems, or developer productivity domains.
• Strong background in modern build systems (e.g., GitHub, Buildkite, Artifactory, Bazel).
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Solid programming background in Python, Kotlin, Java, or similar languages.
• Proficiency in managing build systems and frameworks for large monorepos.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bazel.
• Active contributor to open source projects or experience with large-scale software development at leading tech companies.
• Curiosity and willingness to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.
