What you will do

• Define and maintain the architectural vision across teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Lead high-impact technical initiatives including platform modernization, observability enhancements, and performance optimization.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices for code quality, automated testing, and operational excellence.
• Coordinate cross-team technical projects and align infrastructure decisions across the organization.
• Mentor and coach senior and mid-level engineers to develop future Staff and Principal leaders.
• Collaborate with Product and DevOps to align technical feasibility with business objectives and strengthen CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience as a Staff or Principal technical leader within complex engineering organizations.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems architecture and scalable backend systems.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, and operational reliability.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience improving developer platforms and engineering productivity tooling.
• Knowledge of modern observability and monitoring systems.
