What you will do

• Define and own the architecture of the cloud-native, multi-tenant AI Portal SaaS platform for enterprise OEM deployments.
• Drive architectural decisions regarding microservices, IAM, workflow orchestration, APIs, and large-scale data transfer pipelines.
• Establish and enforce platform-wide Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) including scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Lead security and compliance architecture aligned with automotive standards, including GDPR and ISO 27001.
• Maintain Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), system maps, and reference architectures.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy trade-offs and provide technical leadership to mentor senior engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a principal engineer or architect on greenfield SaaS products, scaling them from MVP to production.
• Strong expertise in multi-tenant microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with workflow engines such as Temporal or equivalent.
• Ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with data platform architecture.
• Familiarity with automotive industry processes like A-SPICE or TISAX.
• Experience with AI-powered tooling or integrations.
