What you will do

• Develop thermal cooling strategies for next-generation, high-performance switching products.
• Perform complete thermal analysis and design using Icepak.
• Support thermal analysis requests from hardware and product management teams via spreadsheet calculations or detailed simulations.
• Conduct engineering experimental tests to verify designs and correlate them with computational results.
• Collaborate with Electrical design and hardware validation teams to ensure system requirements are met.

Requirements

• MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in thermal design and analysis of electronic appliances using Icepak, FloTHERM, or SmartCFD.
• Experience with high power (>800W) SoC liquid cooling thermal models and system-level analysis.
• Proficiency in numerical modeling based on CFD and FEA, including convergence, discretization, and meshing.
• Deep knowledge of heat transfer modes and components such as heat sinks, heat pipes, vapor chambers, and thermal interface materials.
• Must be based in or able to work from Santa Clara, CA, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience using ProEngineer (PTC Creo).
