What you will do
- Design and validate engineering solutions for thermal and mechanical hardware, including electronics enclosures.
- Perform thermal simulation, heatsink design, and data analysis using CFD software to ensure product viability.
- Develop and implement comprehensive parameters and test plans for new and existing designs.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams, as well as outsourced development partners.
- Represent the mechanical/thermal team across all phases of major development projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in thermal design and electronics packaging for high-density, high-power systems.
- Proficiency in CFD software (FloTherm, IcePak, Fluent) and 3D CAD software (Creo/Parametric, SolidWorks).
- Experience in thermal testing using DAQ, thermocouples, thermal chambers, and scripting in Python.
- Must be able to work onsite from an HPE office in California, USA.
