About the Role

You will join the sales development function to help build an outbound sales effort. You will lay the foundation of this sales effort through outbound prospecting to potential sellers and promoting the value of the platform for their business. As a Business Development Representative you will work with the sales organization to find new merchants that fit the platform ecosystem. As the first point of contact you will understand the diverse needs of merchants. You will become an expert in the products and services that enable merchants to grow with the platform. You will use your persuasive communication and drive to document and track qualified opportunities to pass to the Account Executive. You will apply a data driven approach to outbound sales that includes prospecting, email, and calling at scale. This role is the starting point to many growth opportunities within the organization. The program is designed to facilitate career growth in the BDR direction of choice. Before promotion you have the ability to increase your on target earnings by leveling up within the organization.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse pipeline of businesses and prioritize outreach to accelerate sales cycles
  • Reach out to businesses in your pipeline at scale through cold calling, emailing and social selling
  • Promote urgency through a solutions based sales approach, identifying challenges with businesses and providing targeted value around how the platform can help
  • Grow your career in sales through frequent developmental opportunities and mentorship from the Account Executive team
  • Consistently attain and exceed your monthly quotas
  • Residence within 50 miles of the posted office location
