TL;DR

Business Development Representative (SaaS): Driving pipeline growth by qualifying inbound leads and executing proactive outbound outreach to public sector organizations with an accent on discovery, CRM hygiene, and territory management. Focus on identifying new business opportunities, collaborating with Account Executives, and positioning value-driven solutions to solve complex public sector challenges.

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in Oakville, ON office)

Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 base + Commission

What you will do

  • Engage and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, events, and website inquiries.
  • Execute outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and social outreach to targeted accounts.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to assess fit, urgency, and buying readiness.
  • Generate net-new pipeline and route qualified opportunities to Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data in Salesforce and meet monthly activity and pipeline quotas.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to align on account strategies and campaign performance.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Oakville, ON.
  • Relevant experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role.
  • Understanding of the SaaS industry or technology-enabled solutions.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals and quotas.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with potential for flexible hours to support multiple time zones.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, inquisitive mindset.

Nice to have

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Previous experience in B2B or B2C sales environments.
