What you will do

• Interpret materials characterization results for aluminum and copper alloys to validate new materials.
• Lead experimental development and implement process specifications for electro-plating technologies.
• Develop procedures to analyze metal-to-metal bonding strength, durability, and corrosion performance.
• Manage laboratory experiments including tensile, lap shear, fatigue, and hardness measurement techniques.
• Design experiments for root cause analysis and transform results into technical investigation reports.
• Support product engineering for cold plates and PECs based on demand.

Requirements

• B.Eng in Chemical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of prior experience in engineering roles, preferably in automotive-related industries.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical, mechanical, corrosion, and electrochemical testing procedures.
• P.Eng or eligibility for professional engineering licensing.
• Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English.
• Proficiency in engineering drawings and technical/material specifications.

Nice to have

• Experience with metal joining technologies, particularly copper-based systems.
• Understanding of furnace brazing and thermal management fundamentals.
• Profound understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and failure mechanisms.
