What you will do
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle (contracts, onboarding, offboarding, benefits) for NA and APJ regions.
- Manage payroll inputs and handle state registration processes for new US hires.
- Develop and improve regional documentation, people policies, and internal communications.
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers in the assigned regions.
- Partner with Legal and vendors to ensure compliance with labor regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support the establishment of new legal entities and transition employees from EOR to direct employment.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in People Operations/HR within a global tech company or remote-first startup.
- Proven experience managing employee lifecycles across US and APJ jurisdictions (e.g., Australia, Singapore, Japan).
- Knowledge of US multi-state employment requirements and state registration.
- Ability to draft HR processes and documentation from scratch.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools.
- Must be based in the United States (Eastern Time zone) with occasional evening availability for APJ teams.
