Salary: €117,000–€137,000 (Ireland base)

What you will do

• Manage and grow a distributed team of engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and career development support.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap, strategy, and OKRs for the Usage domain.
• Guide the team through the full project lifecycle, from technical design to delivery and post-launch iteration.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Product, DealOps, GTM, and Pricing teams to ensure coordinated delivery.
• Foster a high-trust, security-first team culture that leverages AI-assisted development to enhance workflows.
• Contribute to hiring and talent acquisition efforts to build a diverse engineering team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Prior experience as an Individual Contributor (IC) for at least 3 years.
• Strong software engineering background, ideally with backend systems like Go.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles, including scalability, consistency, and observability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage delivery across multiple concurrent projects and align stakeholders.
• Must be based in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, or the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-volume billing systems, usage metering, or cost management applications.
• Familiarity with cloud marketplace integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Kubernetes control-plane patterns or operators.
• Familiarity with observability tooling like Prometheus or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining open source projects.
