TL;DR
VP Institutional Sales (Institutional Investment): Driving new business growth and expanding market share in Western Ontario and Western Canada with an accent on identifying, qualifying, and closing new institutional client relationships. Location: Hybrid (Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary). Current work authorization for Canada is required.
Salary: $150,000 – $175,000 CAD (Base) + variable compensation

What you will do
- Deliver funded new business to meet or exceed annual sales targets.
- Identify and qualify sales opportunities within assigned territories, specifically Western Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
- Cultivate ongoing relationships with market influencers, consultants, and plan sponsors.
- Negotiate legal documents and contracts with new clients for a smooth transition to relationship management.
- Collaborate across business units and divisions to provide a unified face to the customer.
- Execute detailed account strategies and plans to expand market share and strengthen the brand.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in the investment management marketplace.
- University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- Current work authorization for Canada.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining senior-level relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of institutional investments, banking, insurance, and pension industry trends.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for articulating value propositions.

- Professional designations such as CFA, CSC, or an MBA.
