QA/Process Engineer II (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead cost-reduction initiatives by evaluating manufacturing processes, materials, scrap, labor, and tooling.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes and provide technical leadership to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Conduct cross-functional root cause investigations using 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, and DMAIC tools.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment stability via SPC and partner with Maintenance to plan necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Manage mid-level capital projects, coordinating vendor selection, budgeting, and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal fabrication or assembly.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and ability to interpret technical drawings (GD&T).
• Proven experience with Six Sigma, FMEA, and SPC methodologies.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Houston, Texas.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience with MiniTab or similar statistical software.
• Previous project management experience with capital or process initiatives.
