What you will do
- Design, monitor, and optimize chemical processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Analyze process performance data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Lead capital improvement projects (typically $50K+) from concept through startup and execution.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and R&D teams to drive process improvements.
- Apply structured problem-solving methods such as DMAIC, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards and conduct risk assessments (HAZOP).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or chemical environment.
- Proficiency with data analysis, process optimization, and continuous improvement tools.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience in chemical or manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing multiple capital projects in the $50K–$500K range.
- Certification or applied experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Experience with batch chemical processing or polymerization reactions.
