Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 CAD

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of new features within the core Java platform.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and QA teams.
• Define and champion engineering best practices and long-term architectural decisions.
• Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable software with comprehensive test coverage.
• Improve testing and CI/CD strategies to ensure high-quality enterprise software delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring.
• Deep expertise in high-performance Postgres or MySQL environments.
• Extensive experience designing and securing RESTful APIs for large-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, scalability, and multi-threading.
• Experience in fast-paced agile environments with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols (FIDO, OAuth, SAML, etc.).
• Experience with cybersecurity principles and certifications like CISSP.
• Exposure to UI technologies such as ReactJS.
• Experience with gRPC API development and microservice architecture.
