What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of API platform enhancements in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Design and implement automation features to improve platform efficiency and reliability.
• Consult with business delivery teams on API standards, REST best practices, and governance.
• Maintain core infrastructure including service-mesh, runtimes, security, and logging.
• Perform load-testing and interpret results to implement performance optimizations.
• Mentor team members on build and deployment best practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional programming experience in Java.
• Proven work experience in DevOps, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud.
• Strong understanding of API design, event-driven solutions, and cloud architecture.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model within Canada.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Experience with Spring Boot and secure coding practices.
