Salary: £41,200 - £44,000

What you will do

• Sub and publish news stories and features on the hirify.global website and app.
• Support journalists in developing original stories and creative treatments.
• Ensure all content is clear, legally sound, and adheres to hirify.global Editorial Guidelines.
• Optimize headlines and imagery using SEO best practices to maximize reach.
• Provide constructive feedback to the editorial team to maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with TV and radio colleagues to adapt stories for digital platforms.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in subbing and writing news in a daily news environment.
• Thorough understanding of UK media law and editorial guidelines.
• Proven ability to write engaging headlines and utilize SEO strategies.
• Must be available for weekend work and early/late shifts.
• Must be able to work from a regional office three days per week.
• Strong commitment to diversity and inclusive storytelling.
