Level II VT/MT for Shipyard Contract Assignment (Engineering)

What you will do

• Perform VT and MT examinations of materials according to procedures, codes, and specifications.
• Set up and utilize NDT Testing Equipment.
• Operate handheld grinders to remove detected discontinuities.
• Provide OJT and guidance for trainees.
• Coordinate with department managers and clients to determine work priorities.
• Prepare written instructions and report examination results.

Requirements

• Must be a "U.S. Person" (Citizen, Green Card holder, Refugee, or Asylee) due to ITAR regulations.
• Certification as an NDT Level II VT/MT Technician with documentation of education, training, and experience.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check for shipyard access and a drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Physical ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 100 pounds.

Nice to have

• NAVSEA and/or shipyard work experience.
• Additional NDT certifications.
