TL;DR

Focus on developing next-generation maritime platforms for defense and commercial applications through cross-functional collaboration and hands-on testing.

Location: Must be based in Valdosta, GA

What you will do

  • Perform hull form evaluations, hydrostatic calculations, and stability analyses.
  • Design and integrate propulsion, steering, fuel, and electrical marine systems.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
  • Develop production drawings, installation procedures, and build documentation.
  • Support vessel sea trials, engineering validation, and performance data analysis.
  • Work with procurement, autonomy, and operations teams to support component qualification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR/EAR restrictions.
  • Strong understanding of naval architecture principles, vessel stability, and hydrostatics.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Rhino, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with autonomous or remotely operated marine systems.
  • Knowledge of ABYC, USCG, and classification society standards.
  • Hands-on experience in marine manufacturing environments.
  • ABYC Certifications or USCG Engineering License.
