CH147F Training Specialist (Aviation Training)

Location: Garrison Petawawa, Ontario, Canada; willingness to relocate to Petawawa required

Salary: CAD 91,000–136,400 per year

What you will do

• Develop training solutions, standardized storyboards, lesson content, performance checks, and learner assessments for the CH147F Chinook aircrew training program.
• Support courseware development by verifying technical and procedural accuracy against training plans, platform specifications, procedures, and checklists.
• Create, maintain, and execute verification, validation, system test, and mission scenario test plans.
• Provide technical and engineering support to software developers during system integration using aircraft documentation.
• Test synthetic training devices and support customer activities during on-site acceptance testing.
• Maintain military and aviation publications and resolve technical issues with Technical Services staff.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Royal Canadian Air Force aircrew course and wings qualified.
• Strong computer aptitude, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn new software and tools.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance and Level II NATO Secret security clearance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work-permit holder.

Nice to have

• Aircrew Instructor qualification, tactical aviation experience, or experience with a Standard Unit or Central Flying School.
• Tactics or Weapons Instructor qualification.
• Flight or mission simulator experience.
• Functional ability in French.
