What you will do

• Define and execute the engineering strategy across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure.
• Hire, develop, and retain exceptional engineers and engineering managers.
• Collaborate with the CPO and Product team to translate roadmap priorities into reliable, scalable delivery.
• Own the technical architecture of a multi-tenant SaaS platform handling large-scale research data pipelines, survey infrastructure, and analytics delivery.
• Ensure the platform meets enterprise-grade SLA, security, and data privacy requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Manage the engineering budget, headcount planning, and vendor relationships to optimise cost, velocity, and quality across the organisation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering, including at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles managing teams of 20 or more people across multiple disciplines.
• Proven track record scaling B2B SaaS platforms, ideally in data-heavy, analytics, or research technology products.
• Strong command of cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), microservices architecture, data pipelines, and modern API design.
• Experience as a manager of managers, with the ability to build and coach layered engineering organisations through periods of rapid growth.
• Fluency in data engineering, AI engineering practices, and AI/ML integration.

Nice to have

• Proven track record of delivering complex software products on time and within budget.
• Background in market research, survey platforms, consumer insights, or panel management technology.
• Prior experience leading SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR compliance programmes in a SaaS environment.
