Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 a year

What you will do

• Lead a team of 8–10 engineers focusing on Value-Added Services (VAS) such as Network Tokens, Account Updater, and 3DS.
• Drive AI-native delivery by implementing AI-augmented development methodologies across the SDLC.
• Partner with Product Management and the CTO to define the feature roadmap, prioritizing security and scalability.
• Mentor and coach engineers while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and ownership.
• Oversee architectural choices to ensure services follow established patterns for reliability and security.
• Manage operational health, including incident response and the building of self-healing systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or Architect in SaaS or enterprise environments.
• Deep technical expertise in Java microservices, API design, and event-driven architectures (SQS/Kafka).
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS in a public cloud environment.
• Strong command of AI-integrated development workflows and SRE/DevOps practices.
• Proven track record with compliance frameworks like PCI-DSS, SOC2, or ISO27001.
• Must be based in specific US states (CA, CO, CT, FL, IL, NY, NC, OR, TX, VA, WA) or Canada.
