What you will do

• Analyze AI interaction with US national security, focusing on nuclear and biological risks.
• Monitor and respond to developments in AI and emerging technology policy.
• Develop educational briefings and materials for policymakers, industry, and media.
• Represent the organization in panel discussions, presentations, and media briefings.
• Identify opportunities for policy change through summits and roundtables.
• Craft executive orders and policies to maximize AI benefits while minimizing risks.

Requirements

• Master's degree in National Security Studies, Public Policy, or International Affairs.
• 1+ year of experience researching existential risks from AI, biological, or nuclear technologies.
• 1+ year of experience engaging with federal lawmakers and agency officials on AI safety.
• 1+ year of experience in public speaking or media engagement.
• Publication of at least one scholarly article on emerging technology risks.
• Unable to sponsor visas for this role.
