• Develop innovative modelling and simulation approaches for vertical flight systems and AAM vehicles.
• Establish a distinctive research line focused on rotorcraft and VTOL aircraft simulation.
• Supervise MSc and PhD research projects and attract external research funding.
• Contribute to BSc and MSc Aerospace Engineering education programs.
• Collaborate with national and international research partners, industry, and governmental organizations.
• Explore immersive simulation environments using Extended Reality (XR) and AI for certification.

Requirements

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field.
• Excellent command of English.
• Willingness to learn Dutch within a reasonable timeframe.
• Strong expertise in modelling and simulation applied to vertical flight systems.
• Proven research potential through publications and scientific track record.
• Ability to build collaborative networks and attract research funding.
