What you will do

• Partner with EMEA Sales and Product Management to analyze MV Switchgear opportunities from a mechanical design perspective.
• Develop initial mechanical designs, general arrangements, panel schedules, and footprint drawings to support the quotation process.
• Collaborate with pricing teams to provide accurate mechanical estimates and support the CDE (Comply, Deviate, Exception) process.
• Analyze MV components and work with suppliers to incorporate performance characteristics into the final solution.
• Identify and design VAVE (Value Add / Value Engineering) alternatives to maintain high quality at competitive prices.
• Support R&D in writing FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) plans, focusing on seismic, heat rise, and short circuit testing.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in product engineering or manufacturing within the MV SWGR space.
• Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo is beneficial.
• Ability to interface directly with customers and sales teams at both executive and technical levels.
• Experience with NPDI (New Product Development Introduction) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
• Legal authorization to work in the UK or UAE; sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Smartsheet and Power BI.
• Direct experience with MV SWGR IEC certification.
• Knowledge of LV/MV components like circuit breakers and arc flash mitigation equipment.
