Design Engineer (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Provide technical support to production, quality, and procurement teams to resolve design and specification issues.
• Develop engineering designs and produce detailed 2D drawings and bills of materials using 3D CAD software.
• Support new product introductions and troubleshoot integrated control systems.
• Manage multiple product changes from initial concept through to production implementation.
• Coordinate design tasks with offshore resources and conduct peer reviews of engineering change orders.
• Liaise with suppliers to define and select optimal components and specifications.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (Summer 2026 graduates welcome).
• Minimum of one year of relevant engineering experience in design, development, or manufacturing (industrial placement acceptable).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and detailed 2D drawing production (Siemens NX preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of industrial vehicles and integrated control systems.
• Experience with PLM and MRP systems.
