What you will do

• Operate and engineer distributed systems at a massive scale across various AWS services.
• Troubleshoot root causes of customer issues and investigate performance metrics to ensure service stability.
• Implement Operational Excellence best practices to automate manual processes and reduce operational overhead.
• Utilize Linux skills to innovate fixes, develop workarounds, and maintain up-to-date software.
• Identify and resolve network connectivity issues using deep networking knowledge.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver results in a high-growth environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Must be a UK national and capable of obtaining and maintaining UK Government Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration and/or development.
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Experience working in a 24/7 production environment.
• Experience in at least two of the following languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, or Bash/Shell.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience in SRE, DevOps, security administration, or network administration.
• Experience with network capture and systems troubleshooting.
• Ability to build scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments.
