What you will do

• Own the end-to-end macOS fleet strategy, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Replace manual IT workflows with testable, version-controlled automation using code rather than admin consoles.
• Apply AI and agentic systems pragmatically to IT operations, including triage, remediation, and developer self-service.
• Partner with Security and GRC teams to implement controls for CMMC Level 2 compliance.
• Design and operate endpoint telemetry systems to ensure visibility and device trust.
• Mentor IT staff and lead technical vendor evaluations and architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing macOS at scale in a fast-moving engineering environment.
• Deep production experience with major MDM platforms like Jamf, Kandji, or Mosyle.
• Strong software development skills in Python, Go, Bash, or Swift.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Git-based workflows, CI/CD).
• Practical experience applying AI/LLM-based tooling to real-world IT operations.
• Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation and RFCs.

Nice to have

• Active participation in the MacAdmins community or open-source contributions to projects like Munki, Fleet, or osquery.
• Experience building agentic AI workflows in a production context.
• Background supporting compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
• Familiarity with managing Windows or Linux endpoints.
