What you will do
- Handle litigated delegated and non-delegated motor instructions valued from £25,000 to £100,000.
- Formulate and execute initial and ongoing case strategies to bring claims to resolution efficiently.
- Draft legal documents including defences, applications, witness statements, and Part 35/18 Questions.
- Undertake negotiations with Third Party Solicitors and conduct Court Hearings.
- Manage a dedicated caseload of cases involving indemnity issues on behalf of the MIB and large insurers.
- Collaborate with counsel and experts, ensuring all tasks are delegated to paralegals as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 24 months experience handling litigated claims, specifically including Part 7 claims.
- Minimum of 12 months experience handling cases with a value in excess of £25,000.
- Sound practical experience of handling Intermediate/Multi Track RTA litigated files.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and complying with Court orders and deadlines.
- Must be based in or able to commute to Bolton for hybrid office work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
Nice to have
- Understanding of indemnity and/or the MIB (Uninsured Drivers and Untraced Drivers Agreement).
- Experience utilizing Case Management Systems.
