TL;DR

Solicitor/Associate (Legal): Managing a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated abuse claims with an accent on forensic document analysis, liability assessment, and court representation. Focus on navigating complex Sheriff Court and Court of Session proceedings while providing high-impact legal advice to a diverse client base.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Glasgow office (Hybrid working arrangements apply).

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated abuse claims as a Defender.
  • Conduct forensic review and analysis of documents, liability, quantum, and causation.
  • Draft legal advice, court documents, and correspondence.
  • Prepare witness statements and provide instructions to experts and counsel.
  • Liaise with clients and conduct site visits as required.
  • Support Partners and contribute to team business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in sensitive and complex claims.
  • Proven experience with Sheriff Court appearances and instructing in the Court of Session.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
