TL;DR

Development Manager (Real Estate): Executing large-scale mixed-use developments from due diligence through construction with an accent on entitlement processes, project budgeting, and consultant coordination. Location: Must be based in Los Angeles, CA (100% in-office)

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 USD

What you will do

  • Lead day-to-day development management from due diligence through construction.
  • Coordinate third-party consultants including architects, engineers, and design professionals.
  • Oversee entitlement processes, design development, and project budgeting.
  • Partner with internal acquisitions teams to review underwriting and pro forma assumptions.
  • Track project schedules, risks, and milestones to ensure business plan alignment.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate development or project management at an institutional firm.
  • Must have knowledge of local zoning regulations, building codes, and permitting in the Los Angeles area.
  • Experience with large, complex mixed-use development projects.
  • Strong understanding of entitlement, design, and pre-construction processes.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and consultants independently.

Nice to have

  • Background in business, architecture, planning, or engineering.
  • MBA or MSRE/MRED degree.
