TL;DR

Associate Director, Content Policy (Music): Leading efforts to identify, investigate, and mitigate catalog-level risks with an accent on fraud detection, policy interpretation, and non-compliant client behavior. Focus on building scalable processes for risk detection, navigating complex DSP escalations, and ensuring catalog integrity through data-driven decision-making.

Location: Must be based in New York (Office-first, 4 days a week)

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 USD

What you will do

  • Lead investigations into fraud signals, suspicious activity, and policy-violating behavior across the catalog.
  • Evaluate and make decisions on ambiguous or unprecedented content situations.
  • Interpret DSP policies and internal guidelines to provide actionable guidance to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Legal, Operations, and Relationship Management teams to resolve complex integrity issues.
  • Develop frameworks and standards to support proactive catalog-risk detection.
  • Liaise with DSP contacts to advocate for client interests and align on policy interpretations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in music, digital platforms, policy, trust & safety, or rights management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and risk signals in large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to make firm decisions in ambiguous or sensitive situations.
  • Experience with AI agents and data tools like SQL, Looker, or Sigma.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for navigating escalations.
  • Understanding of music rights, copyright claims, and dispute processes.
