TL;DR

Compliance Manager (Insurance): Supporting the Head of Compliance in enhancing and delivering the regulatory compliance framework for Insurance Solutions with an accent on oversight of Appointed Representatives and FCA rule adherence. Focus on managing regulatory requirements, embedding Consumer Duty, and providing meaningful MI to the Board and Risk Committee.

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid)

What you will do

  • Enhance and maintain systems and controls to ensure regulated entities meet FCA requirements.
  • Manage regulatory requirements including General Insurance, Consumer Credit Broking, and Consumer Duty.
  • Oversee the compliance monitoring plan and provide timely MI to the Board and Risk Committee.
  • Monitor a portfolio of Appointed Representative firms to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Deputise for the Head of Compliance and provide subject matter expertise in meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the FCA, FOS, and Lloyd’s of London.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to work from London, UK.
  • Circa 5 years of work experience in a compliance function within the general insurance sector.
  • Detailed understanding of FCA rules such as PRIN, ICOBS, SYSC, PROD, and SUP.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of the MGA model and regulatory oversight of appointed representatives.
  • Awareness of Consumer Duty, IDD, GDPR, and Training and Competence requirements.
