Salary: $191,920 - $287,880 USD

What you will do
- Lead technical development of radar or lidar sensing systems from early concept and benchmarking through production launch.
- Define sensor performance targets, requirements, evaluation criteria, and validation plans.
- Drive sensor benchmarking and technical down-selection across candidate suppliers and technologies.
- Guide architecture and tradeoff decisions related to performance, environmental robustness, thermal constraints, and cost.
- Analyze test data from suppliers and vehicles to identify performance gaps and drive root cause corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, perception, firmware, and vehicle integration teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field with 7+ years of experience (or advanced degree with 5+/2+ years).
- 8+ years of experience in automotive sensing with deep expertise in radar or lidar.
- Strong first-principles understanding of RF fundamentals or ToF/FMCW lidar.
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas, Jupyter) for parsing logs and building analysis workflows.
- Experience with automotive tools: Wireshark/PCAP, CANoe/CANalyzer, ROS/rosbag, and automotive Ethernet.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Robotics.
- Experience bringing radar or lidar systems into automotive series production.
- Familiarity with DV/PV, DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and functional safety processes.
- Working knowledge of perception and tracking in automated driving systems.
