Managing Director, Evidence & Strategy (Healthcare)

Location: Remote (US) / Washington, DC; hybrid and remote work arrangements are available based on team and client needs.

Salary: $225,000–$270,000 per year, dependent on experience, location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead thought leadership, mentorship, and strategic advisory work within the Evidence & Strategy practice.
• Generate business with new clients and grow existing client relationships, with approximately 75% of the role focused on business development and 25% on project delivery.
• Lead as Project Lead or Executive Sponsor across projects involving protocols, evaluation plans, strategic and tactical delivery, manuscripts, posters, and presentations.
• Manage multiple clients, project teams, budgets, timelines, RFPs, vendor selection, and short- and long-term deliverables.
• Design and execute mixed-methods research, strategic plans, studies, analyses, interventions, and implementation evaluations.
• Build integrated real-world evidence generation and strategic plans and present research results to clients, executives, policy leaders, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in health policy, public policy, healthcare management, public health, public administration, health economics, business administration, or a relevant discipline with 8–10 years of relevant experience; or an undergraduate degree in a similar area with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant healthcare and life sciences experience, prioritizing consulting firms and work involving pharmaceutical, emerging biotechnology, diagnostics, digital health, health plans, providers, or the broader healthcare industry.
• 5+ years of management or supervisory experience with strong leadership and staff mentoring skills.
• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Solid writing, storytelling, and professional business communication skills.
• Experience establishing credibility as a strategic real-world evidence expert with clients.
• Significant project management experience involving senior executives and/or health policy leaders.
• Situational leadership, motivation, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts and work across functional areas.
• Ability to analyze real-world evidence trends across multiple stakeholders and translate them into business implications.
• Commitment to collaborative work and positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
